• A vacuum cleaner that has a soft brush
• Some mild soap that you would use on your body
• Some distilled water
• Soft towels
• A good leather conditioner

The first thing that you should do is clear the dust off the surface by using the soft brush on your vacuum cleaner but make sure before you start that the speed is set on slow and the brush is soft.  Do it slow and gently so you do not scratch the furniture.  Make sure that it is clean before you start cleaning it with the cleaners.

Put some of the body soap on the soft towel and gently rub it on a part of the furniture that is not visible to test it to make sure that the leather will not react badly to the soap.  If it does at least it will be in a spot that is not highly visible.  There should be no reaction but it is best to make sure first.  Once you make sure that there is no negative reaction you can move on to the next step which is to use the vinegar in your leather cleaning.

Take the soft cloth with the soap on it and dip it in the vinegar and dab or rub gently, not hard, over the entire piece of leather furniture.  If you rub too hard you can scratch it because leather furniture is fragile.  Once you have done the whole piece of furniture, take a clean soft towel and dip it in the distilled water.  It cannot be tap or treated water because this type of water can have chemicals in it that could spoil the furniture.  Distilled water has no chemicals.  Take the soft towel and wipe the leather furniture to get all the vinegar and soap off but again, do it gently.  Once you have wiped it with the distilled water, take a dry soft towel and dry the piece of furniture.

Once it is dry you should use a good leather furniture conditioner that you should buy from your dealer that sold you the furniture.  Make sure that the dealer knows which type of furniture you are cleaning in order to get the right one.  The leather condition will help to protect your leather furniture from the wear and tear of daily use.  It should be put on with another dry soft towel.
